Below is a list of materials you will need. Some of it is a little specialist.
So, if you'd like a kit - just for this month - I can send one to you for £7, which includes a few rings, two skeins of perle and the beeswax (plus postage).  Let me know, and we can arrange payment.Â
If you're providing your own materials, you will need:
Two rings of approcimately 2 - 2.5cm in diameter. I get mine from Beaker Buttons (link below) and they start from 15p each
https://www.beakerbutton.co.uk/dorset-button-rings-zinc-alloy-2814-p.asp
You will need some perle cotton - preferably no 8.
Alternatively, crochet thread works really nicely.Â
We'll be using 2 colours - one for each technique.
Beeswax - from personal experience (!) the Dorset buttons are so much easier when you've used beeswax on the rings - the thread doesn't slip around as easily. it's not necessary, but a lot easier.Â
You can get these from a number of places - for example:Â
